About Me
I design for environments where getting the product wrong has real consequences.
My background is in designing digital products across fintech, SaaS, proptech, marketplaces, and consumer platforms. For the past 15 years I have worked across East Africa, mostly in Kenya and Tanzania, typically as the sole designer embedded in a small product and engineering team.
The products I work on tend to share a few characteristics: they handle money, they serve users with limited tolerance for confusion, and they operate under real constraints of time, budget, and market readiness. That combination has shaped how I approach design. I prioritise clarity over novelty, familiarity over elegance, and constraint-driven decisions over feature ambition.
I work end-to-end, from MVP definition and information architecture through to high-fidelity design and developer handoff. I am experienced working asynchronously with distributed teams and comfortable making independent design judgements when stakeholders are stretched thin.
What I Work On
UX and product design for web and mobile applications. Complex user flows, multi-step journeys, and operational dashboards. Fintech, payments, credit, property, and service platforms. Design systems, component libraries, and developer handoff. MVP definition and early-stage product scoping.
How I Work
Senior product designer with end-to-end ownership. Experienced working with remote and asynchronous teams. Products shipped across Kenya and Tanzania. Direct collaboration with engineering using Figma, Notion, Slack, ClickUp, and Google Meet.
